From June 5 to 7, 2026, historic camps will be set up on the site of the Merville Battery for the D-Day commemorations.
Throughout the weekend, British and German reenactors will bring the daily life of soldiers to life through historical installations, demonstrations, vehicles and period equipment. Visitors will be able to freely discover the different living spaces, interact with the enthusiasts present on site and better understand the organization of the troops in 1944.
The German command post, reconstructed and brought back to life, will also be open to the public during the event.
Present all day during the museum’s usual opening hours, the camps are included in the museum entrance ticket and will offer a lively immersion accessible to all, at the heart of a major site in the history of the Normandy Landings.
