From Friday June 5 to Sunday June 7, 2026, the Merville Battery will host a major program of events and ceremonies to mark the D-Day commemorations.
Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to discover the historic British and German camps, witness the handling of the Flak anti-aircraft gun by German reenactors, as well as several activities around British paratroopers.
On Saturday June 6, the site will also host the drop of the Belgian “Black Devils” paratroopers, before a presentation devoted to the equipment and preparation of the airborne troops.
Several official and commemorative ceremonies will also punctuate these three days of tribute, in memory of the men engaged in the fighting of June 1944.
Between transmission, historical discovery and duty of memory, this weekend will offer the public an immersion in the heart of the history of the Merville Battery and the Normandy Landings.
