Museum Night 2023: Saturday 13th May from 8pm to 9.30pm last admission
The Merville Battery Museum is organising free visits for the Museum Night on Saturday 13th May.
During this visit you will discover the history of this site thanks to our educational tour.
At dawn on 6th June 1944, the Merville Battery situated between Ouistreham and Cabourg had been neutralised by the 9th British Parachute Battalion after an unimaginable assault.
On a completely preserved historical site, discover the story of these men who succeeded in this mission! And learn more about the history of our “C-47” aircraft! In addition, you will be immersed in the hell of war during the sound and light show which reconstructs the attack on the Battery during the night of 5 to 6 June 1944.
